My favorite sister in law, Pam, and my favorite sister in law's boyfriend, Jon, arrived a few days earlier and had the pleasure to spend some time in China before we arrived. It was the first time for Jon and I was happy to see that he was as excited as I was, when I was there the first time.
This shot was taken on the The Bund which happens to be the water-front area right in the middle of Shanghai. Shanghainese people and visitors love to stroll there in the evenings after dinner. One can see the impressive skyline of Pudong (the new area across the river) on one side and the old colonial buildings on the other side. Quite a contrast - it's like the river divides Shanghai's future from Shanghai's past.
