Oh, so you think there are a lot of bikes in Amsterdam? Think again! While more and more cars (especially taxis) seem to appear in Shanghai, the bicycle is still the fastest way to get around town. At any time of the day there are hundreds of bikes whereever you look. It's most impressive next to subway stations, as this picture here shows.
Little old chinese ladies in blue uniforms seem to sell tickets to have your bike parked here for a day. I have no idea how they keep track of those who paid already and those who still need to drop a few RMB.
