You can't see the sweat on the guys face, but it is fairly visible in the original picture. It was about 90 degrees hot and very, very humid. Both Candice and I were hot and sticky from just walking around. Then on the other side of the street this guy show up.
They took down a number of old buildings to make room for a new APEC-strategic, WTO-we-are-coming, green park in the middle of the city (you can see the rubble behind the green curtain). So this guy was responsible for all the old shingles and, boy, did he have a load on his cart. From across the street I could feel the weight he was carrying, every turn carefully planned, leaving enough room to slow down the tremendous load.
