We finally arrive in Ulaanbatar, the capitol of Mongolia, after a long flight from Beijing. Our local travel agent has arrived with us and we hop on the bus which will bring us into the city and our hotel for the night. The bus ride to the hotel is very exciting. It's the first time to Mongolia for most of us and everything looks very different and interesting. On our way to the city we cross a river and from the distance it looks like the sides of the river are covered in beautiful red, brown and earth colors. Upon closer inspection it turns out that the locals use the nice weather to give their rugs and carpets a rinse in the river. After washing those in the stream they end up on the river banks to dry in the sunshine.
